MEET SMITTY
Smitty is somewhat of a celebrity on Anguilla. He had the idea of opening a place on the Anguilla shore of Island Harbor. He though it would be a great place for people (Anguillans and tourists) to socialize, have cocktails, and something to eat. Most of the Islanders called him crazy and said it would never work. Smitty disagreed, hence Smitty's at Island Harbour. Smitty's was reduced to rubble when hurricane Luis hit the shore in 1995 but he salvaged what he could and started over.
Located right on the beach, Smitty's has beautiful views of Scilly Cay Island. It's not fancy, there are no white tablecloths or crystal wine glasses. Smitty's has it's own unique Island charm. It's a great place to sit, relax and enjoy the best Rum Punch on the Island. He has a secret recipe but I'll let him share that with you. He also serves lobsters, craw fish, chicken and local fish. All his food is fresh. The fish and lobsters are bought daily from the local fisherman that arrive at the pier a few yards away.
No ovens for Smitty. All his meals are cooked on open grills.
